Hello!!



Since you haven't had a letter since the month of June, you all know that it was because I, JUNE, was out with brain surgery! Well, I'M BAAACCCKKKK............ Thanks for all your prayers and all the cards. It's great to be back in the swing!

We hope that you all have enjoyed your summer vacations and trips, but it's time to get back to business -- God's business -- and get back to our regular study times and youth meetings. Seems like everyone has been a bit scattered this summer and numbers have been low here lately, so let's all get rededicated and fired back up!

Take note of the Wednesday night and Sunday night meeting times on the calendar. Although the youth from the IWC team have already talked to the youth group, the entire team will be speaking during the Sunday night service on the 10th. We want everyone to be there to support them and ask lots of questions.

Also of note is the BACK TO SCHOOL BASH at the Factory on the 20th. Scott Dawson will be the guest speaker for the night, with special music by the Kristian Stanfill Band. You will remember that Scott Dawson was one of our speakers at the winter retreat last year.

Coming up in September is a special concert at WCU featuring New Song, Aaron Shust, and Francesca Battistelli. The Least of These Tour will be on Sunday September 21 at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $10.00. You will need to sign up to go to this event. Each person will have to pay for their own ticket.

It's not too early to start thinking about winter retreat. We need to make plans for raising funds. It will be time to go before we know it!!

Upcoming studies for the rest of the year include I AM (Getting to Know God); TEENS vs. PARENTS; and, SEX and DATING. We will also be starting a series of studies on Christy (the tv series). You don't want to miss out on any of these -- trust me it is good stuff!!!!!!

If any of you would be interested in having another "Hot Seat" session with Pastor Ed or Pastor Brandon just let us know and we will get a date set for that. Just tell one of us!
