About the Group
The purpose of Second Mile Ministries is to serve and glorify God by encouraging people to a relationship with Jesus Christ (1) Through love and concern, (2) Through the presentation of the gospel, and (3) through practical assistance in living. This assistance will primarily include food, clothing, and monetary aid for shelter and utilities. We also purpose to give practical, emotional, and spiritual support to the elderly, handicapped, and homebound.

The workers at Second Mile will endeavor in every way possible to encourage spiritual growth, emotional maturity, and financial responsibleness. We desire to communicate to the needy that they are of great value in God's eyes and to treat them with compassion and dignity.

We believe that a right relationship with Christ is the way to victorious living and to eternal life. We believe that spiritual growth will come through consistent prayer, study of the Bible, and worship/fellowship in an organized body of Christian believers.

Any special past projects/missions the group has been, or will be, involved in?
Have quarterly food drives called "Bag-it". Food is left on the car hood and is picked up during the services.

How is the group its own community?
We have a great comraderie while we work together to bring the Lord to those in need.

What do you believe is special or stands out about your group?
I believe to work in a service ministry like this God has gifted each with the most prevalent gifts being mercy, service, and evangelism.

Is there any additional information you want to mention?
We have wonderful time while serving the Lord together.
